Last night, Natty and I attended the Lift Every Voice concert at the preforming arts center. First comment: the center is gorgeous, straight up. Good going Amarillo. Second: great show - moving. It celebrated Black History and had elements of sorrow, freedom, salvation and southern religious culture entangled in the songs.
One song in particular stuck a chord with me. He's done Enough by Beverly Crawford.
If the Lord never does anything else for me
He's done enough
If the Lord never does anything else for me
He's done enough
He's blessed me once
and he blessed me twice
The Lord keeps on blessing me everyday of my life.
It was such a simple and passionate reminder.
